OpenCode is an open-source coding agent with configurable providers, agents and permissions. Two native custom-agent stock-row contracts fail: frozen steps=1 injects maximum-steps text on the first request, and no inventory JSON is delivered. Default coding-agent quality and memo handling remain unverified.

Official Windows x64 baseline v1.18.34, ZIP SHA f89ab2720050780a450e3cf3e48ac3f0409235b46b6c548c69aa2b7051d716f4 matches GitHub asset digest. Fixed commit aec0b9a6d8898f68f923aaf08b7306d931fd9d76. Unpatched native CLI; custom fixture primary Agent, global/agent deny permissions, model tool_call=false, disabled built-in agents, explicit title and separate task XDG profile. No share, MCP, plugin, external skills, LSP, formatter, project config, updates or compaction. Frozen steps=1 confounds task output on the first call.

MIT fixed source; model/provider costs and rights are separate. This local pilot used no payment, trial, new weights or paid provider. Hardware, energy, setup and review remain unmeasured.

Both stock-row originals fail to deliver task JSON. Frozen steps=1 injects a maximum-steps assistant prompt on the first model request. These configuration-confounded results do not assess default coding-agent quality or memo handling. Actual requests contain no callable tools and workspace files remain unchanged.
